Iran’s Leader: Hamas Military Operation Irreparable Defeat for Israel

Addressing a joint graduation ceremony of the cadets of the Armed Forces at the Imam Ali Army Officer University in Tehran on Tuesday, Ayatollah Khamenei stressed that Israel has suffered irreparable damages like being hit by a devastating earthquake following a surprise military operation by Palestinian forces.

Hamas on Saturday staged a large-scale military operation in response to the desecration of Al-Aqsa Mosque and increased settler violence. The attacks have so far killed more than 900 and injured over 2,700, according to Israeli officials.

“The Zionist regime has suffered an irreparable defeat both in terms of military and intelligence. Everyone admitted the defeat but I emphasize irreparability,” the Leader underlined.

“I say that this devastating earthquake has managed to destroy some of the main structures of the usurping regime ' s governance, which cannot be rebuilt so easily,” he underscored.

Ayatollah Khamenei also dismissed Iran’s involvement in the Palestinians’ attack on Israel.

“Supporters of the Zionist regime and some from that usurping regime have said some nonsense these past days that the Islamic Republic of Iran was behind this act. They are mistaken,” he stated.

“Those who say the acts of the Palestinians come from non-Palestinians don ' t have a true understanding of the Palestinian people and make wrong calculations,” he added.

Ayatollah Khamenei noted the Israelis are to blame themselves for the failure, but they have opted to play the victim. Iran’s Supreme Leader added that the actions of the Zionists brought this disaster on them.

“When cruelty and crime pass the limit, when rapacity reaches its peak, one should wait for the storm,” he continued.

Ayatollah Khamenei warned Israel of “a heavier slap” for the Zionist regime ' s ongoing massacre of the Palestinian people in the besieged Gaza Strip.

“The Zionists should know that with the massacre of the people of Gaza, they will receive a heavier slap,” he stressed.

The Leader emphasized that the Gaza massacre will “bring a greater calamity to the Zionists” after they faced an irreparable failure.

The Gaza Strip has been almost completely cut off from the rest of the world for nearly 17 years. Israel has in recent days carried out heavy bombardment across the besieged enclave, killing more than 760 Palestinians, including over 100 children, and wounding at least 4,000 others.

“Now that the evil and cruel enemy has received the slap, it has started a policy of playing the victim. Others also help it, the media of the world arrogance helps it,” he said.

“This self-victimization is 100% untrue and false, since the Palestinian combatants were able to break the siege of Gaza and reach the military and civilian centers of the Zionists,” he added.

“Whatever it is, this usurping regime is not a victim. It is cruel, aggressive, ignorant, and irrelevant, but it is not oppressed, it is an oppressor and no one can make the face of an oppressed out of this devilish monster,” Ayatollah Khamenei continued.

The Leader stated the Israeli regime is playing the victim card in order to double down on its oppression and justify its “attack on people ' s houses, attack on civilians, and its massacre and mass killing of Gazans”.

“This is also a wrong calculation. Let the heads and decision makers of the usurping regime and their supporters know that this will bring a bigger disaster on them. Let them know that the reaction to these atrocities will be a heavier slap in their ugly faces,” he concluded.

Tehran says the history of the apartheid regime is full of assassinations, massacre, torture and killing of Palestinian kids, and described Tel Aviv regime ' s atrocities and massacre of Palestinian women and children as indicative of the destitute of Zionists. Iranian officials say the Tel Aviv regime has been struggling for more than 70 years to exit its identity crisis which has been mixed with genocide, plunder, forced displacement and scores of other inhumane moves.

Ayatollah Khamenei has recently said the internal crises within the Israeli regime have accelerated the collapse of the Zionists to happen even before the 25-year deadline previously declared by him.

While referring to the Zionist regime as an enemy of the Islamic Republic, Ayatollah Khamenei pointed out that during the regime’s 75 years of existence, it has never faced problems like the dire ones it is facing today.

"The Zionist regime has political instability and has changed four prime ministers in four years; party coalitions crumble before forming; there is an extreme bipolarity throughout the fake regime, which is highlighted by the demonstrations of hundreds of thousands of people in some cities. It is not possible for them to try to make up for these weaknesses by firing a few rockets," the Leader stated, while giving examples of the Zionist regime’s chaotic and collapsing state.

Last Tuesday, Iran ' s Supreme Leader reiterated that the Israeli regime’s days are numbered.

“Today, the Palestinian movement is more cheerful than ever in the past seventy and eighty years, and the Palestinian youth and the anti-usurpation, anti-oppression and anti-Zionism movement are more cheerful, more lively, and more ready than ever, as you can see," he told a group of people, government officials, ambassadors of Islamic countries and guests of an international unity conference in Tehran.

“And God willing, this movement will come to fruition, and as the late honorable Imam [Khomeini] described the usurping regime as a cancer, God willing, this cancer will be eradicated at the hands of the Palestinian people and the resistance forces in the entire region," he added.
